Nayak Community

Identified in Sanskrit as the leader, Nayak or Nayaka comprises different sects of people across the country. In Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, Bedaru, Cheptegara, Charodi, Kannadiyan, and Valmiki caste members among others comprise our sect. In Tamil Nadu, we are recognised as Telugu-speaking people settled in the Tanjore and Madura regions.
